Activision says Destiny 2 will launch in 2017 and that the publisher is working with Bungie to establish a better way to deliver additional content to fans.

With the first of Destiny’s new raid Challenge modes launching this week and the only thing left on the foreseeable horizon being the return of Sparrow Racing League in December, fans are already starting to talk about what’s next. That conversation leads to Destiny 2 which Bungie confirmed is in development and slated for release in 2017.

But besides some rumors about Destiny 2, fans have had very little to go on. Release dates can shift and with a rumor about the sequel being rebooted, there has been no [...]

Photo: Bungie

The idea was that Bungie was going to learn. That after the largely negative reaction to Destiny Year Two content, that perhaps some sort of compromise with the fanbase was in order. While the ultra-populated content stream of Year One might be out of reach, Year Three would give players more than the desert they trudged through in Year Two, which was largely made up of short “events,” and little else.

But now, as we’re almost two months into Year Three, not much seems to have changed, and in fact, things might be getting worse.

You will be hard pressed to find many people saying that Rise of Iron was as good as an [...]

Niantic wants you to play Pokémon GO again, so instead of fixing the tracker, it’s adding daily rewards

Apparently developer Niantic thinks that what Pokémon GO is missing is daily rewards. You know, the paltry bonuses that are thrown around free-to-play games to keep players invested on a daily level so they’ll hopefully come back and spend some actual money. The next major revision of the game will give you 500 experience points and 600 Stardust for catching one critter a day. Do it every day for a week and you get an extra 2000XP and 2400 Stardust. Similar bonuses will be given out for consecutively visiting Pokestops, with items replacing Stardust. It means that low-level players can get at least some progress every day without being forced to take over the nearest [...]
